Community Overview
Sundance is a non-gated 55+ community of 1,102 single-family homes in Buckeye, Arizona, built between 2002 and 2018 by a consortium of builders including Meritage Homes, LGI, Hallcraft, Del Webb, D.R. Horton, Canterra, and Pulte. The varied builder participation over 16 years of construction means the community's streetscapes have more architectural diversity than single-builder developments. All homes are resale. Prices range from the low $300,000s to the low $600,000s, with an average near $349,000. Homes are ranch-style, ranging from 1,136 to 2,209 square feet with two to three bedrooms, two to 2.5 bathrooms, and two-car attached garages. Many have golf course or desert views, and some include covered patios and private pools. Eco-friendly building practices were incorporated throughout construction. Pedestrian and multi-purpose trails connect the community's neighborhoods to parks and recreation facilities, making the community walkable in a way that many Arizona developments are not. The 15,000-square-foot clubhouse contains a fitness center, outdoor pool, billiards and card room, arts and crafts room, library, and a restaurant adjacent to the golf course. The Golf Club at Buckeye — an 18-hole course designed by Greg Nash — plays from 5,300 to 7,000 yards across four tee sets, threading through Sonoran Desert scenery with lush irrigated fairways. Tennis, pickleball, bocce, and racquetball courts round out the outdoor amenity package. A full-time activities director supports a roster of clubs that includes aqua exercise, ballroom dancing, bocce, bowling, bridge, bunco, canasta, hula, line dancing, mahjong, pickleball, quilters, Red Hatters, tennis, Zumba, and the Sundance Fine Arts Association. Buckeye is one of the fastestgrowing cities in the country, with rapidly expanding retail, entertainment, and healthcare infrastructure along the I-10 and SR-85 corridors. Mexico is roughly 90 minutes south, Phoenix and Avondale are close to the east.
